Water temperature: 23 degrees Monday night madness at The Lido. Hottest day of the year, place was packed, lots of rubber clad swimmers. Lots of weaving in and out. Pool was really cloudy. Emptied out about 8:15. Should have gone over the ponds.
A return to Letchworth with DW, middle sister, Tom and nephew. Tore up the A1 on a blisteringly hot Sunday morning. Jam tarts, sandwiches and crisps. Lots and lots of playing in the water. Great time had by all.
Water temperature: 17 degrees A return to the Lido after infidelity at Letchworth and Richmond. Pre work swim. Felt a bit wheezy and apprehensive. Sign said 17 degrees, didn't believe a digit of it. Felt as cold as judgement day. Warmed up after a few lengths. Battled on to swim a dozen. Nice start to the day. Stocked up on healthy breakfasts and lunches for work. Ten days till London to Brighton. can't wait.
